... of a Semi-True Bar

Like so many great ideas, this one started with humor. My father Steve and his lifelong friend Larry would bring our families lobstering, starting way back in the early 1980s.

From their days in high school, Steve & Larry enjoyed sharing a good wisecrack. So of course, on one of these vacations, Dad proclaimed after a full day of lobstering that we head to "the Ticklestick Lounge ™, Key West's original dive bar" to which Larry added, "No shorts allowed!"

In 2016, the world lost Larry too soon. Dad and I got to reminiscing about those days gone by in Key West. Truly, excellent and happy times.

When Christmas rolled around that year, it struck me that a perfect gift for Dad would be to make Ticklestick Lounge ™ come true .. well, Semi-True! After buying the domain, creating a logo, launching this website, and creating a shirt for Dad, you might say he was more than tickled! In fact, we both loved the idea so much, I trademarked the name and logo.

But the world needs MORE than just a semi-true Ticklestick Lounge ™... the world needs a TRUE Ticklestick Lounge ™ in Key West: a dive bar for divers!

I'm glad you asked! The best way to help is by giving me a Key West bar with a transferable liquor license. The next best way would be to get your supremely rich relative or friend who’s always wanted to start a Key West bar, but was waiting for the right kickass name, like Ticklestick Lounge ™.
